The Physics of Star Trek author to speak at Wayne State University
Astrophysicist Lawrence Krauss, author of seven popular books including the international best-seller, The Physics of Star Trek, will lecture on "Einstein's Biggest Blunder: A Cosmic Mystery Story," on July 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Wayne State University's Community Arts Auditorium.
Krauss' talk, part of a five-day international meeting on particle physics, is an exploration of questions ranging from the origin of the universe to the origins of human culture and cognition. The event, sponsored by the American Physical Society, is expected to attract more than 300 physicists from around the world. Krauss is Foundation professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and Department of Physics, associate director of the Beyond Center, co-director of the Cosmology Initiative and director of the new Origins Initiative at Arizona State University. He is the only physicist to receive the highest awards of the American Physical Society, the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Institute of Physics.
