The Office of Research Compliance oversees all areas of research compliance, including research that utilizes humans, animals, rDNA, radiation safety, and chemical safety. It coordinates conflict of interest, export controls and handles inquiries and investigations regarding allegations of scientific misconduct. This unit prepares researchers on how to meet federal compliance regulations through the presentation of University-wide workshops related to research compliance. The Office of Research Compliance provides leadership and management to selected units within the Division, including the Human Investigation Committee, the Animal Investigation Committee and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. It is a critical unit that trains faculty and appropriate staff on their awareness of research responsibilities and risks. |
