Research Orientation for New Faculty
The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to welcome new faculty to Wayne State University. We provide many resources to help new faculty as they lay the groundwork for excellence in research, teaching and service.

The Burroughs Wellcome Fund and HHMI, have created Making the Right Moves: A Practical Guide to Scientific Management for Postdocs and New Faculty. This book is a collection of practical advice and experiences from seasoned biomedical investigators. The second edition contains three new chapters on laboratory leadership, project management, and teaching and
course design.
